Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25 in 1970) is an American actress best known for portraying the role of detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter respectively on NBC's Providence drama, and the medicine drama The Resident. Her role was praised by critics in her portrayal of Eleni Anderson Cooper, her debut television appearance on CBS' soap opera Guiding Light. Some of her most notable films comprise 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Snitch. The Wheel of Life, written by Elisabeth Kubler Ross and adapted into a feature film by Vlas Parlapanides (the pair who created the Immortals) is thought to be in the works. Additionally, she's filming an upcoming show called Gods & Heroes.
